9.- NUEVAS PERSPECTIVAS EN LA FICCIÓN CLIMÁTICA ACTUAL: LA TECNOFILIA SOLARPUNK FRENTE AL IMAGINARIO DEL DECRECIMIENTO
Resumen
El presente artículo aborda el relativamente nuevo fenómeno literario del “solarpunk” en términos ecocríticos, analizando sus premisas y el modo en el que estas subvierten acercamientos hegemónicos al ambientalismo, la tecnología y el cambio social desde posiciones decrecentistas. Primeramente, se explica una breve historia de este género de ciencia ficción en la que se contextualiza conceptual y literariamente, comentando las bases
que guían a este género en su vertiente lingüística en inglés (la más desarrollada). Tras esto, se pretende exponer aspectos relevantes en el debate filosófico actual entre tecnofilia y tecnofobia para posteriormente analizar dos ejemplos de relato corto de este género bajo los patrones de teorías filosóficas tecno y ecooptimistas contemporáneas.
Abstract:
This article explores the relatively new literary phenomenon of “solarpunk” in ecocritical terms, analyzing its premises and the way in which these subvert hegemonic approaches to
environmentalism, technology and social change from degrowth positions. Firstly, the text briefly delves into the history of this science fiction genre, in which it is conceptually and literarily contextualized, commenting on the foundations that guide it in the anglophone field (the one that has been more developed). After this, the article aims to expose the most relevant aspects of contemporary debates on technophilia and technophobia in order to later analyze two examples of short stories using contemporary techno- and eco-optimistic philosophical theory.
