7.- PRAGMÁTICA DEL PALABREO LGBTIQ+ EN CHILE
Resumen
Diversos grupos de personas desarrollan usos lingüísticos particulares con el fin de generar lazos identitarios al interior de una comunidad de práctica. Los sujetos de la comunidad LGBTIQ+ en Chile emplean un formato conversacional denominado palabreo, cuyas características pragmáticas son abordadas en el presente estudio. La investigación es de tipo interpretativa-cualitativa con una temporalidad transversal y emplea una metodología de análisis de contenido. Se realiza una entrevista semiestructurada a 30 personas LGBTIQ+. Los resultados indican que los/las participantes reconocen la importancia de las pistas contextuales para una adecuada interpretación de los mensajes entre los/las interlocutores. Los tópicos abordados en el palabreo son las relaciones sexo-afectivas de los/las participantes, el aspecto del/la interlocutor, el nivel socioeconómico de los/las interactantes y la propia cotidianidad. Por último, el palabreo desdibuja el límite entre tópicos privados y públicos, incorporando elementos de descortesía simulada y un carácter humorístico permanente.
Abstract:
Various groups of people develop linguistic mechanisms to generate identity ties within a community of practice. The LGBTIQ+ community in Chile uses a conversational format called palabreo, whose pragmatic characteristics are addressed in this study. The research is interpretive-qualitative with a transverse temporality and uses a content analysis methodology. A semi-structured interview is conducted with 30 LGBTIQ+ people. The results indicate that the participants recognize the importance of contextual clues for an adequate interpretation of the messages between the interlocutors. The topics addressed in the palabreo are the sex-affective relationships of the participants, the appearance of the interlocutor, the socioeconomic status of the interactants and daily life issues. Finally, the palabreo blurs the line between private and public topics, incorporating elements of mock impoliteness and a permanent humorous setting in the conversation.
