La Nueva Revista del Pacífico, founded in 1964, depends on the Faculty of Humanities of the Universidad de Playa Ancha (Valparaíso, Chile). Since 2013, it is published biannually, receiving specialized articles in the areas of linguistics and literature. The journal is open to all researchers, from any university, public or private, Chilean or foreign.
