Abstract
The research described here sought to analyze the perception of practicing kindergarten educators regarding the difficulties they have faced in the management of massive emergencies, taking as a frame of reference the School and Nursery School Safety Policy. This research was conducted in Valparaíso, in an educational corporation with 6 centers throughout the region.
Its purpose was to explore issues related to the management of the aforementioned policy in their workplaces in order get to know their local reality, and additionally, to become familiar with the conditions, challenges and limitations that may arise in this area; taking particularly into consideration the impact that this may have on the educational environment. Regarding the findings, it´s appreciated that the implementation of the School and Nursery Safety Policy and the Comprehensive School Safety Plan (PISE) in their workplaces unveils differences based on the location of the center. So, even while being part of the same educational corporation, there are distinctive ways of approaching the subject depending on other factors such as environment, social context, location and the rotation of personnel, among others.
